Agonda beach is situated between Palolem and Panaji in South Goa. The Beach is a 3 Km long, lonely beautiful cove of white sand with decorative strands covered with palm trees and casuarinas. The beach offers a perfect isolation for nature lovers in search of true peace of mind. There are very few facilities available and visitors are needed to carry all the essentials along with them. One can enjoy the stay at any of the few near by hotels and guesthouses as there are not too many accommodation options available here. So it is better to stay at guest houses which are equipped with all the basic amenities to entertain its guests. Facilities provided by some of the hotels includes Dining facilities which offer multi cuisines, Health clubs and swimming pools, Laundry service, Currency Exchange, Taxi on Call, Safe Deposit Boxes, Sightseeing Arrangements and Camp fires.
Market & Shopping
The beach is far away from principal routes of transportation and is visited by very few tourists. This solitary beach is known for its clean sand and unspoiled environment. The beach is much calmer and with out restaurants, hotels and souvenir shops to disturb you. One can relish sea, sand and sun as there is no one here except you and your solitariness. Goods of bamboo work, crochet and items made up of shells are available for beach shopping. The facilities are very limited over here and you will be required to carry all the requisite items along with you to enjoy your trip in lap of nature.
Restaurants
The Agonda village in Goa is surrounded by a lush green cover of about 120 acres of forest land. The renowned eateries are absent here but one could easily order local and international cuisines in one of these restaurants.
Dersey’s restaurant on the southern end of Agonda beach is famous among the visitors. It serves both local and Indian dishes.
Dunhill Bar & Restaurant which offers Indian and Goan cuisine including seafood.
Relax Bar & Restaurant is famous for its Chinese, Indian and Goan delicacies.
Malibu Bar & Restaurant Serves continental, Indian, Chinese, Goan and Italian cuisine including seafood.
