Feast of Three Kings

The feast of three kings in Goa is a popular Christian festival that commences on 6th of January every year. This festival is also celebrated by the Hindus with enthusiasm. This festival is celebrated in the honour of the Three Kings of Magi. They came with gifts for infant Jesus Christ. The festival of feast of three kings is celebrated after twelve days of Christmas. According to the legendary tale, it was believed that the footprints of Virgin Mary can still be found today. She rested here before reaching the Hills of Remedies.

This festival continues for ten days. The main highlights of the feast of Three Kings festival in Goa are music and dance. The disciples come up to to the Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount to offer prayer and get her blessing. After the completion of the rituals, a grand fair was organized. From this fair you can buy varieties of things such as furniture, clothes, brassware, bangles and spices. Peoples of Goa including the Hindus also, does participate in this festival and enjoy it to the fullest.
