Goa Shigmo FestivalsShigmo in Goa is a popular festival that is celebrated with great enthusiasm. This festival is celebrated with different names in different places in Goa. It is a festival of the masses. This festival is celebrated in the month of March on the full moon day to offer farewell to the winter season. This festival starts from the 11th moon day and lasts to the 15th moon day. During this festive occasion, the village peoples of Goa dress themselves with colourful clothes. The 5th day of the festival is popularly called as the “Rang Panchami”. On this day the Goan used to rejoice to the fullest.
