Getting Around Goa  




Goa is one of the favorite tourist destinations among people from all over the world. It is easily accessible through all modes of transportation. It is connected to most of the parts of India as well as world via air, roads, trains, buses, taxis and boats. You can reach Goa in a short time span of 45 minutes via air from Mumbai.

Dabolim international airport of Goa is approximately 29 kms from Panjim. Goa also has airways link between Delhi, Pune, Cochin, Bangalore and Chennai. There are a few charter companies that are flying directly from Europe to Goa, India.

Konkan Railway project that exists between Mangalore and Mumbai has played major role in traveling Goa by rail. Trains are running effectively between Margao and Mangalore. There is also a direct train between Delhi and Goa. The two major stations of Goa are at Margoa and Vasco da Gama.

If you want to reach Goa via road then there is no need to bother. There are several interstate bus services to Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, Mangalore, Londa, Hubli, Hampi and Hospet. State roadways are operated from Kadamba at Panjim in Goa, India. Private air conditioned buses also operates.

If you want to travel in Goa, there are various modes of transportation available. If you are going for short trip then opt for these buses, as they are mostly overcrowded. You may also hire car for getting around in Goa, India. Although, it is an expensive option, still you would be able to enjoy a lot. You may also hire motorbikes for traveling in Goa, India.
